Speaker:

Hey, I am your host, Mari Wagner,

and you're listening to The Ever Be

2

:

Podcast where Faith Meets Lifestyle.

3

:

I'm so excited you're here.

4

:

Whether you're a new listener

or a longtime follower, I know

5

:

there's something here for you.

6

:

Pull up a chair and listen in for

insightful, real life conversations and

7

:

actionable steps on how to claim the.

8

:

Full life God created you for.

9

:

If you're a woman desiring to live

a Christ-centered life in today's

10

:

modern world, then this is for you.

11

:

Welcome to ever be.

12

:

These little mics stress

me out a little bit.

13

:

Why?

14

:

They're so light in my hand.

15

:

I feel like I'm gonna drop it,

or like you're gonna like talk

16

:

with your hands and fling it.

17

:

I feel like I'm just gonna fling it.

18

:

Just let it fly.

19

:

Also, you know, when girls

just have like a bad hair day?

20

:

Yeah.

21

:

I just feel like no matter

what I do to my hair today, it

22

:

just like does not look good.

23

:

You know, we're keeping

this in the podcast.

24

:

I'm not gonna edit this out.

25

:

Okay.

26

:

We're showing and going.

27

:

Do you think my hair looks good?

28

:

I think your hair looks beautiful.

29

:

Thanks.

30

:

We're just gonna leave it,

we're just gonna leave it as

31

:

is because it looks great.

32

:

It looks great, right?

33

:

It looks, it literally looks like

you spent 20 minutes doing your hair.

34

:

Uh, it looks great for

all those listening.

35

:

It was up in a slick back high

bun, and it just like was hurting

36

:

my head and I had to take it down.

37

:

But like, you know, you've got the

hair product in your hair and then

38

:

it looks Gracie, and then matted,

and then floppy, and then we're

39

:

just, we're just rolling with it.

40

:

It looks great.

41

:

Okay.

42

:

Looks great.

43

:

Well, we're back in the car.

44

:

We're back in the car.

45

:

You guys this time in Mari's.

46

:

Dad's truck.

47

:

Yes, we're in Washington, which is where

I grew up, which is where my family's.

48

:

Like lives and we're here for

the week and um, you know, we're

49

:

just like not as on top of the

podcast as you might think we are.

50

:

And so it's a Tuesday and this

episode will be out tomorrow.

51

:

By the time you're listening

it'll be Wednesday.

52

:

Um, but I'm kind of excited

for today's episode because.

53

:

We had talked about like recording

this one, maybe last week or so,

54

:

and it was, it's just gonna be fun.

55

:

It's just a casual car chat, super casual

and basically just like life updates,

56

:

like what's going on in our life.

57

:

March.

58

:

A little peek behind the curtain.

59

:

Yeah, which is fun.

60

:

Okay.

61

:

Before we get into the, I guess

this is the episode, but back

62

:

to your hair conversation.

63

:

Oh, we're going back there.

64

:

I know the, I know the experience

'cause I'm trying out a new haircut.

65

:

Oh yes.

66

:

And I've had the same haircut

since what, eighth grade?

67

:

Yeah.

68

:

Seventh grade.

69

:

Yeah.

70

:

For as long as I ever, like sixth

grade had hair to care about.

71

:

Yeah.

72

:

Like once I moved on from my

like mom cutting my hair, I've

73

:

just had the same haircut.

74

:

Mm-hmm.

75

:

My entire life.

76

:

Your classic like clean shortcut.

77

:

Yeah.

78

:

It was just like your clean short.

79

:

Yeah.

80

:

You know, fade on the side.

81

:

Yeah.

82

:

A little bit longer on top and side part.

83

:

And now you're growing it out.

84

:

Mari has convinced me that

it's a more mature hair.

85

:

No, no, no.

86

:

Didn't say that.

87

:

The real said that.

88

:

I did not say that.

89

:

I just said, Hey, I wonder what your

hair would look like if you grew it out.

90

:

And then we saw all these reels.

91

:

That said like mature men, mature

men don't longer hair don't

92

:

mature men don't get skin fades.

93

:

Skin fades.

94

:

Yeah.

95

:

And and I think that S cuts

and think that's what convinced

96

:

you need to get a sci cut hair.

97

:

So I've been growing my

hair out since December.

98

:

And it's not long.

99

:

Like, it's not like I'm not trying

to have it be like a man bun or

100

:

like, oh no, going down to like

my shoulders or like, no, no, no.

101

:

Even past my years, it's just like enough

that you can style it a little bit.

102

:

It's literally just like

a mid length cut that I.

103

:

The hair is being pulled back and just to

give it like, it's a little more style.

104

:

Some texture.

105

:

Yeah, some movement.

106

:

Yeah.

107

:

So I don't know.

108

:

I, I feel like it's kind

of in right now too.

109

:

It's definitely in, but I

don't know how to do it yet.

110

:

And so every day I am like, so Trey's

also having a bad hair day, trying,

111

:

trying to figure out how to style my hair.

112

:

This is also not even what

we meant to talk about today.

113

:

So, so that's enough on our hair, but.

114

:

What Washington we're doing in Washington.

115

:

We're in Washington.

116

:

Right now.

117

:

We're in Washington because we're

visiting my parents for their birthday.

118

:

My parents sure the

same birthday actually.

119

:

And they're two years apart.

120

:

So they were born on the

same day, two years apart.

121

:

My dad's older and he's

turning 50 on Thursday.

122

:

Boop.

123

:

Woo-hoo.

124

:

Happy birthday dad.

125

:

And so we're here doing a.

126

:

Huge 50th birthday party for him.

127

:

The whole crew is coming.

128

:

Uh, all of our friends have some family.

129

:

There's literally gonna be like 65 people.

130

:

Yeah.

131

:

Well what's the guest list of time?

132

:

I'll count.

133

:

Or 70 people.

134

:

It's like 60 something.

135

:

I think it was like 69 or something.

136

:

But we had three cancellations this week.

137

:

So like it's full blown like party.

138

:

Party.

139

:

It's like small wedding,

like a mini wedding.

140

:

Like we're talking small wedding

level, like at a country club,

141

:

catered dinner, cater past hor

d'oeuvres, bar dj, and a dj.

142

:

And the literal dj.

143

:

And what is the special

thing about this dj?

144

:

The special thing about this

DJ is that he's Colombian.

145

:

And so obviously my family being

Colombian is very excited about that

146

:

'cause we feel like he's gonna like

totally get the like Latino dance

147

:

party vibes that we're going for here.

148

:

So we were at the venue two

days ago on Sunday, I think.

149

:

Right?

150

:

Saturday?

151

:

Saturday.

152

:

And we were doing like the final

walkthrough, making sure that schedule

153

:

was set up, that how the room was

gonna be set up was all right.

154

:

And the, I don't know, the coordinator,

event coordinator, the event coordinator

155

:

was like, had set the room up, but

it was minimizing the dance floor.

156

:

Yeah.

157

:

Like the dance floor was not.

158

:

Focal point or like what the event was

planned around was not the dance floor,

159

:

the event was the event and the seating

was all planned around the dinner.

160

:

The dinner and people eating and how

to like, you know, have all the, all

161

:

65 people comfortably sat in the room.

162

:

Right?

163

:

But, but it left a tiny dance floor.

164

:

It left a small dance floor.

165

:

And I was like trying to tell him like.

166

:

Dude, I, I get it, but

like, you don't know us.

167

:

He's like, he's like, oh, and

we need room on the dance floor.

168

:

He's like, oh, well, he's like,

not everybody's gonna be dancing

169

:

and like, not everybody's gonna

be dancing at the same time.

170

:

Like, you don't need a bigger dance floor.

171

:

And I was like, no, we do.

172

:

And I, and he was literally, and

then he was like, kind of fighting

173

:

on fighting me on it too, dude.

174

:

Like, he is like, no, trust me,

not everybody's gonna be dancing.

175

:

Yeah.

176

:

He was like, no, no, no, trust me.

177

:

And I was like.

178

:

Okay.

179

:

No, trust me.

180

:

Like I know the group of people

that are coming, my parents and

181

:

all of their friends are Latino

and they all love to dance.

182

:

And that's what they do at their

parties like this, like the, the

183

:

dinner, like salsa dancing, like

the dinner is just salsa dancing.

184

:

Like the dinner is just like,

let's get the dinner outta the way.

185

:

Like, we're here to dance.

186

:

Yes.

187

:

And.

188

:

Even the DJ that we hired on is like

teaching a salsa lesson as like part

189

:

of the activity of the night, like

kinda like part of the main activity

190

:

of the night, which is good for me,

which is great for Trey because he

191

:

needs to learn how to salsa dance.

192

:

And so anyways, I like literally

had to stop the event coordinator

193

:

guy and I was like, I.

194

:

I, oh no.

195

:

'cause he said, he said, I know

that ideally in the ideal world you

196

:

think everybody would be dancing.

197

:

And I know you think that, but really

they're gonna be eating and chatting

198

:

and like sitting in the corner.

199

:

You know, like not everybody, like people

aren't gonna really get up and dance

200

:

or they're not all gonna be dancing.

201

:

They're not all gonna be

dancing at the same time.

202

:

And I was like, with all due

respect, Anthony Sir, sir.

203

:

Thank you for your service at the country

club, but we're gonna need a bigger

204

:

dance floor because yes, everybody's

gonna be dancing at the same time and I

205

:

can't wait for him to witness this party.

206

:

So then Mari had to rearrange, so

then I was like, would you please

207

:

just let me rearrange the tables?

208

:

And I think at that point he

was like, all right, yeah, fine.

209

:

Go ahead.

210

:

I mean, he ran into, won

that, I won that battle.

211

:

He ran into two Latino women, determined

Colombian women that were like, not go.

212

:

We have a plan.

213

:

Thank you very much.

214

:

Yeah.

215

:

He was not ready for the two,

you and your mom to show up.

216

:

Yeah.

217

:

So I'm super excited.

218

:

I feel like my parents are not

huge, like celebratory people.

219

:

No.

220

:

It's just like, not

what their families did.

221

:

And I don't know, like I, I just feel

like they deserve this celebration.

222

:

Absolutely.

223

:

And my dad especially turning 50 like

dads do so much and I just feel like.

224

:

That's when awesome.

225

:

Been celebrated enough, you know?

226

:

And so I'm really excited for

him to have this big party.

227

:

And so it'll be super fun.

228

:

It's gonna be super fun.

229

:

And your friends are coming

and my friends are coming.

230

:

My two best friends from college are

coming and they're basically like

231

:

family, so I'm excited to see them too.

232

:

Yep.

233

:

So that party is this Saturday, but we'll

be in Washington for like 10 days total.

234

:

Yeah.

235

:

Like the whole week leading up.

236

:

Yeah.

237

:

And we are living at

Mari's parents' house.

238

:

Mm-hmm.

239

:

With her grandma and her two aunts.

240

:

Oh yeah.

241

:

From Columbia.

242

:

They came to visit to Surprise

my dad day, which is an

243

:

awesome surprise for first day.

244

:

But that means all of the extra

rooms are taken in the house and

245

:

Trey and I are on the pullout couch.

246

:

Well, yeah, I mean there's

literally, I think 11 or 12 people.

247

:

Well, by the time my friends get here

and my sister gets here from college,

248

:

yeah, there'll be a lot of people.

249

:

Yeah, maybe like 10 or something.

250

:

Packed house, but wouldn't

have it any other way.

251

:

It'll be fun.

252

:

Yeah, it'll be fun.

253

:

All right.

254

:

And then what else did we do recently?

255

:

We flew from Dallas to Washington.

256

:

Oh, yeah.

257

:

I mean, March has been a packed month.

258

:

I was about to say so far because I

feel like it feels like it's over.

259

:

Well, it almost is.

260

:

Yeah.

261

:

Like it will literally be

over by the end of the week.

262

:

But in my head, I thought we were

like literally mid-March, but

263

:

it's just like moving so fast.

264

:

Um, March has been a packed.

265

:

Packed month.

266

:

So yeah.

267

:

So let's just backtrack basically.

268

:

Okay.

269

:

Because this is the end of our march.

270

:

Mm-hmm.

271

:

So we can backtrack and share

everything that has happened this month.

272

:

Okay, great.

273

:

So we got to Washington on.

274

:

Friday and we flew from Dallas

because we were at a really fun

275

:

event, which if you follow me closely

on Instagram, you probably already

276

:

know 'cause I posted all about it.

277

:

Where were we tricked?

278

:

We were in Dallas at the Chosen

season five red carpet premiere.

279

:

Yeah.

280

:

I honestly can't believe

we got invited to this.

281

:

Yes, it was so fun and

such an honor to be there.

282

:

But basically like the literal premier

party for the chosen season five.

283

:

Was happening and they were

like, Hey, y'all wanna come?

284

:

They like contacted me

like a two weeks, I think.

285

:

Two weeks?

286

:

Yeah.

287

:

Like before the event.

288

:

And they're like, it's in two weeks.

289

:

Do you wanna come, come down to Dallas?

290

:

And I was like, yes.

291

:

Like we will get our life together.

292

:

We will make it work.

293

:

But like we were not gonna

miss this opportunity.

294

:

We love the chosen love, the

chosen, like love the chosen.

295

:

We put off watching it for a really

long time because we weren't sure.

296

:

If it was gonna be good or

not, despite what people said.

297

:

We were just skeptical and we were

like, oh, it's a Christian show.

298

:

Like those are usually so cheesy.

299

:

Yeah.

300

:

And we like didn't want it

to impact our prayer lives.

301

:

We didn't want to, like every time we

read scripture to just see the chosen

302

:

scene and we were just like worried

about, basically, yeah, we were just

303

:

putting it off and yeah, I don't know.

304

:

Honestly, there were stupid

reasons looking back.

305

:

It's awesome.

306

:

We absolutely love it.

307

:

Yeah.

308

:

But we started watching it like

a year and a half ago and we,

309

:

we just like couldn't stop.

310

:

We just basically binge

watched it in a couple months.

311

:

So the party was super fun, of course,

but we were like really most excited

312

:

to like watch the, so they showed

us season or episode one in episode

313

:

two of season five of season five.

314

:

And if you guys haven't seen the

chosen, get caught up quick because.

315

:

That season comes out, I

think this week, right?

316

:

I think it comes out this week, this

Friday and yeah, or this Saturday.

317

:

Yeah, this, I don't remember.

318

:

I think it, yeah, end of this week.

319

:

There you go.

320

:

End this week.

321

:

But it's so good, and I mean, obviously

we haven't seen the whole season, but

322

:

what everybody says about the season is

that it just is very heart wrenching and

323

:

just like heavy and emotional, which,

I mean, it's about the last supper and.

324

:

Leading up to the crucifixion, so, so

I, yeah, I mean, it's gonna be intense.

325

:

Yeah.

326

:

So that was super fun.

327

:

and then before we were in Dallas,

another fun thing happened in March.

328

:

Your friends?

329

:

Oh yeah.

330

:

March is a huge friends month for me.

331

:

I feel like I'm seeing all my closest

friends in one month, which is very true.

332

:

Um, and so let's see, the very

first weekend of March was when

333

:

my Instagram girls came to visit.

334

:

Yes.

335

:

So Megan Wells, Melissa Blada,

and Claire Kie are some of

336

:

my close friends that I met.

337

:

Through Instagram and have been friends

with them basically since we all started

338

:

blogging on Instagram, like back in 2018.

339

:

Yeah.

340

:

Um, and we basically just became

friends because we were all doing it

341

:

at the same time, and over time we

would just chat more and like slowly

342

:

we developed relationships and then we

started calling and we started doing

343

:

like monthly, like mentorship call,

not mentorship calls, like mastermind

344

:

calls, like basically just like.

345

:

Monthly calls where we would help

each other in our like career or

346

:

business or whatever you wanna call it.

347

:

Basically like being a content creator.

348

:

You don't have a team, you don't have

colleagues, you don't have coworkers.

349

:

Mm-hmm.

350

:

You don't have a boss.

351

:

And sometimes it's kind

of lonely out here.

352

:

And so we basically did monthly

calls to talk about like how our

353

:

work was going and how content was

going and supporting each other and

354

:

sharing anything that we had learned.

355

:

Um, yeah, any like.

356

:

Tips or, uh, practices or anything

that could help each other in our work.

357

:

We started helping each other

and doing calls like that.

358

:

And basically that just naturally led to

a deeper friendship because we're spending

359

:

two hours on the phone once a month.

360

:

Mm-hmm.

361

:

And we're women and so we just talk.

362

:

Um, and so then besides work,

we would just start talking

363

:

about our lives and catching up.

364

:

And now our calls are

basically like the first.

365

:

Gosh, like 45 minutes is us just like

talking about life and that's if we

366

:

like, try and keep it brief, like, yeah,

no, it's like an hour and a half if

367

:

you, no, it's not an hour and a half.

368

:

If you don't have, if

we all talk for 20 wait.

369

:

2, 4, 6.

370

:

Yeah.

371

:

If we all talk for 20

minutes, then it's an hour.

372

:

Right.

373

:

So it's like basically an hour

of us catching up on life.

374

:

But like you have to share about

your life and they have to share

375

:

their comments about your life.

376

:

Then you have to share your

comments about their comments.

377

:

And so yeah, it just takes,

you know how it goes.

378

:

Yeah.

379

:

You know how it goes.

380

:

And then the next hour we talk about like

whatever our topic was for the night.

381

:

But yeah, so it's been really formative,

this group, and we've been wanting

382

:

to get the girls trip going because

like you guys have been friends.

383

:

Funny, pretty close friends

for the last like two years.

384

:

Oh, like super close?

385

:

Yeah.

386

:

The last like two or three.

387

:

And like, we started these calls

like before we moved to Colorado,

388

:

and that was two years ago.

389

:

Besides these once a month calls,

you guys are texting in the group

390

:

chat literally every single day.

391

:

All day, every day.

392

:

Yeah.

393

:

My, my group chat is blowing up all day

and so, but you've seen like some of them.

394

:

Individually, but you guys have

never exactly done or you've never

395

:

hung out in a group altogether?

396

:

Yes.

397

:

Yeah.

398

:

We've all met or done stuff together

separately, like with different girls in

399

:

the group, but altogether that's never

happened, and that's what we wanted

400

:

to make happen, and we almost did in

:

401

:

and visit Melissa in Florida and then.

402

:

It wasn't super last minute, but basically

after we had set that date, Megan and I

403

:

both had something come up and couldn't

go, and so we wrecked the group plans

404

:

and poor Claire had already purchased

her flight and couldn't refund it.

405

:

So she went and visited Melissa, and

then we were like, okay, we have to

406

:

get a date on the calendar for 2025.

407

:

Make sure it's set.

408

:

And so then we, that's when we

planned for this first week of March.

409

:

First weekend of March.

410

:

And it was so much fun because you

did so many fun, exciting things.

411

:

Right?

412

:

We, I mean, we did fun things.

413

:

We really did.

414

:

It was like a packed weekend,

but we also just Yes.

415

:

Hung out and talked.

416

:

Yes.

417

:

I just, I'm laughing because they didn't.

418

:

Really have anything planned?

419

:

It was like, no, I did.

420

:

I had the whole weekend planned.

421

:

We, I picked them up from the airport

and I took them home and we had dinner,

422

:

and then we went straight to get our

nails done, and then we went straight to

423

:

my favorite bar and then the next day.

424

:

We had breakfast and then we, then we

just like chatted for a couple hours.

425

:

Right.

426

:

Then we recorded a podcast, then

we made content, then we went

427

:

on a walk, then we came home.

428

:

Then we made pizza night.

429

:

No, it was a super fun,

had massive brunch.

430

:

Yeah.

431

:

Super fun weekend.

432

:

I think you're just, I think laughing

because we did not stop talking the

433

:

entire time because like the event,

like the activity was Let's talk.

434

:

Yeah.

435

:

Basic.

436

:

And that's just so different

than like guys trips.

437

:

Yeah.

438

:

We could have been doing anything.

439

:

It's like I was, were

just there to talk there.

440

:

For most of the time I was there.

441

:

You were there?

442

:

Yeah.

443

:

You were at home and it

was just a spectacle.

444

:

Witnessing how many words, like the

words per minute coming out of all of

445

:

your guys' mouths for not even joking.

446

:

72 hours straight.

447

:

Yeah, basically like go to bed at 11:30

PM I could hear 'em still chatting.

448

:

I would wake up at 7:00 AM seven 30

and you could him in the bathroom.

449

:

So women need that.

450

:

No, it's good.

451

:

It was just a confirmation and

we all felt this, that like.

452

:

Women need women friendships.

453

:

Yes.

454

:

And like we, I will not be able to

replace those women friendships.

455

:

Yeah.

456

:

Like we all love our husbands

and have such like healthy,

457

:

beautiful, wonderful marriages.

458

:

But our husbands can't do that for us.

459

:

No.

460

:

Like our husband, like love them and

our husbands like, you know, you do such

461

:

an amazing job of just like chatting

with me when I like need to talk

462

:

something out, but they don't respond

and engage in conversation the same

463

:

way your girlfriends do you know this?

464

:

Mm-hmm.

465

:

And so it's such a like filling

cup, filling thing to like

466

:

sit there with a group of.

467

:

Your best girlfriends just like

chatting about anything under the sun.

468

:

And that's basically what we did

for like three days straight.

469

:

Yeah, and it was super fun.

470

:

And something that I love that we

reflected on later, something that I loved

471

:

about this group too, is that we realized

it was so fulfilling to be with each other

472

:

and that these relationships are so cup

filling because we all build each other up

473

:

and we all like play a role in the group.

474

:

To build each other up.

475

:

And that's very unique, I feel like,

in a friend group, because a lot of

476

:

the times there's somebody that's more

of like a leader or somebody that's

477

:

more of just like, you know, the

person that's like the Energizer bunny.

478

:

Mm-hmm.

479

:

Like let's do this, you know?

480

:

And like.

481

:

We all kind of play that leadership

role in a lot of the different friend

482

:

groups that we have and like we serve our

communities as leaders and, and pour into

483

:

the people around us naturally in our

lives and in our work and in this group.

484

:

It's like we naturally do it for

each other and we don't have a lot of

485

:

people in our life that do that for us.

486

:

Yeah.

487

:

And so to be able to get that all

from each other is such a gift.

488

:

Yeah.

489

:

I remember like when you were talking

to me after the weekend to like.

490

:

Debrief, debrief the weekend, the

weekend after talking for 72 hours.

491

:

Yes.

492

:

That was like, that's what you

had communicated was each of you

493

:

individually are doing so much

like pouring into other women.

494

:

Yeah, and it's like not super common for.

495

:

There to be people like in each of your

individual lives that are pointed to you.

496

:

Mm-hmm.

497

:

And so that's what you were saying was

like so beautiful about your group.

498

:

Mm-hmm.

499

:

And like your friendship was that

you were all being able to pour

500

:

into each other and it wasn't just

like one person in all the mm-hmm.

501

:

Giving.

502

:

Mm-hmm.

503

:

And then two, the second part is that

there wasn't, there isn't any like.

504

:

Jealousy or like comparison competition

or competition between like, oh,

505

:

who's better, who's like leading more,

who has like the bigger platform?

506

:

It was just like, yeah.

507

:

It was just pure friendship and like Yeah.

508

:

Wanting, like you, you all are wanting

to help each other grow and like

509

:

genuinely, like genuinely willing.

510

:

The good of the other.

511

:

Yes.

512

:

You genuinely will.

513

:

The good for each one of us and we

all, our faith is our, the central most

514

:

important thing in all of our lives.

515

:

Mm-hmm.

516

:

Which makes.

517

:

Such a difference in a friendship, and

we all personally just have such high

518

:

standards of excellence for ourselves,

for our work, for our family life, our

519

:

marriages, like we're all so growth minded

that when you put all of us together.

520

:

I don't know.

521

:

You would think that maybe it would

be like almost clashing, but it

522

:

actually is like such a beautiful like

dynamic of everybody being like, oh

523

:

wait, like we went through that too.

524

:

Like here's what we did

to like help our marriage.

525

:

Mm-hmm.

526

:

Or like, oh guys, I'm struggling

with this thing on Instagram.

527

:

And it's like, oh wait, like try this.

528

:

And yeah.

529

:

And in our faith, like this has been

my, you know, my prayer routine for

530

:

the last few months that's working.

531

:

And yeah.

532

:

And for me, I think in my life.

533

:

I'm the oldest daughter in my family.

534

:

I was the first grandchild

in my friend groups.

535

:

I was always the oldest.

536

:

I was the first of my friends to like go

to college and get married and you know,

537

:

or get a boyfriend and then get married

and then get a job and buy a house and

538

:

like the first to do a lot of things.

539

:

And so I'm just used to being the

one that like knows more, has to Well

540

:

one has to figure it out on your own.

541

:

Yes.

542

:

And then two, like you're

a step in front of Yeah.

543

:

A lot of your peers in a way.

544

:

In a sense.

545

:

Exactly.

546

:

And these girls are all older than me.

547

:

They've all been married longer than me.

548

:

And they're all moms.

549

:

Yeah.

550

:

And so they're like a step ahead

of me in my, which is nice.

551

:

Which I honestly love.

552

:

Yeah.

553

:

I'm like, please tell

me everything you know.

554

:

'cause I for once am not like leading.

555

:

Yeah.

556

:

Which is really nice.

557

:

And I think that's, I mean, just hearing

you share about your friendships with

558

:

these girls, it sounds like that's.

559

:

Like, I would venture to guess that a

lot of women don't feel like they have

560

:

like groups that are like so mm-hmm.

561

:

Life giving.

562

:

Yeah.

563

:

And I think it's cool that one, like, I

mean, have the expectation, this isn't

564

:

something that just happens overnight.

565

:

This is years and years of, this

is literally putting, I think, six

566

:

years or seven years of friendship

right forward to get to this place.

567

:

But it also, I don't know, like

do you wanna speak to some of the

568

:

things that you guys did to like.

569

:

Get to where you are now so that

you guys are having this super

570

:

fun trip and this experience of

such a life-giving friend group.

571

:

Yeah.

572

:

I feel like number one thing,

I mean two things come to mind.

573

:

One, again, it's that shared Catholicism

in our life, like shared vision for life.

574

:

Yes.

575

:

That's a good way to put it.

576

:

Like we have a similar vision

for our life and our family.

577

:

So we're able to bond over that

and it's all rooted in our Catholic

578

:

faith and it's all rooted in

living Christ-centered lives.

579

:

And so because we have that clear

path for our own lives and we share

580

:

those, that vision, we share those

values, we share those morals, we're

581

:

able to connect so much more deeply.

582

:

How do you So much deeply?

583

:

Yeah.

584

:

So, so you said it right more deeply.

585

:

So much more deeply.

586

:

Then friendships said,

don't share those things.

587

:

Yes.

588

:

And so like, you just immediately

get to the deep stuff.

589

:

Yeah.

590

:

You know, like it, it didn't

take very long for us to open up

591

:

and like get to the deep stuff.

592

:

And there was just this like mutual

respect and understanding and like

593

:

openness to be vulnerable because we

trusted the other person was gonna receive

594

:

us with love and with a faith lens.

595

:

Mm-hmm.

596

:

You know, and like encourage

us in a faith lens.

597

:

And then the other thing that

came to mind too was commitment.

598

:

Yeah.

599

:

And the fact that like.

600

:

A deep friendship when you're an adult.

601

:

Takes serious commitment,

like time commitment.

602

:

Seriously.

603

:

Yeah, because we've talked about

this a lot before, but it's like

604

:

in college or in school, like you

have like a best friend, you know?

605

:

Or a lot of people do have close

friends, and a lot of times it's because

606

:

you spend so much time with them.

607

:

Whether you're roommates, you're

living together, you have class

608

:

together, or you grew up together,

or you played sports together.

609

:

You spent so much time with this person.

610

:

And then as an adult, I have found

that it takes so much longer to build.

611

:

Deeper relationships like you might have

friends, maybe a lot of acquaintances,

612

:

but if you really think about the people

in your life, or at least for me, and I'm

613

:

like friends that I have made in the past

three years, since three or four years

614

:

since getting married and like moving

away and like starting in a new place.

615

:

Deep, deep, deep friendships

are very, very few.

616

:

'cause it's hard to get there unless

you share a lot of life together.

617

:

Yeah.

618

:

And for us girls, this group I'm talking

about, we all live in different states

619

:

and so we don't have the ability to

just like hang out every Friday night.

620

:

Um, but we text each other often

sharing about our lives, asking

621

:

for prayers, asking for advice,

um, celebrating each other.

622

:

Mm-hmm.

623

:

And then we have that commitment of.

624

:

Two hours on the phone

once a month all together.

625

:

Yeah.

626

:

And you're like scheduling the

next call before you hang up?

627

:

Most of the time it's the

first Monday of the month.

628

:

Yeah.

629

:

Or it's just the same.

630

:

It's on the calendar.

631

:

It's like a standing call the

first Monday of the month.

632

:

Yeah.

633

:

Every single month.

634

:

And it takes, and we know it's two hours.

635

:

Yeah.

636

:

And it takes sacrifice to say no to the

other things that are gonna come up.

637

:

Yeah.

638

:

To make that phone call or.

639

:

Yeah, like if you're, you know,

busy with work, you could easily

640

:

just say, no, I can't make it

tonight 'cause I'm busy with work.

641

:

Or, or it's happened before where like

we have an event going on or there's like

642

:

stuff that people wanna do that night

with like friends or family that I'm

643

:

like, uh, I'll be there, you know, right

after, you know, like, I have this call

644

:

or like, can we move it to the next day?

645

:

'cause I have this call.

646

:

And I think we all do that.

647

:

Like everybody in the group really tries

to prioritize like that sacred call time.

648

:

Yeah.

649

:

And.

650

:

Schedule things around it.

651

:

And also we have the support of

our amazing husbands that are

652

:

totally fine with us being on the

phone for two hours that night.

653

:

Yes.

654

:

And then I think too, just

the group chat, because Yeah.

655

:

When you're not living, like

spending daily life together mm-hmm.

656

:

Especially when you're

not in close proximity.

657

:

Mm-hmm.

658

:

Then being able to share

the little moments of every

659

:

single day with each other.

660

:

Yeah.

661

:

In real time.

662

:

I think plays a big part in that.

663

:

So yeah, so that was really fun.

664

:

Super fun.

665

:

So that was the first week of March,

first week into March, and that

666

:

was probably, yeah, big highlight.

667

:

Of the year, honestly, seriously.

668

:

Um, and then, and what else?

669

:

A few weeks later, my best friend

from Nebraska came to visit.

670

:

She was visiting another friend who

just had a baby who, okay, so this

671

:

other friend lived in Nebraska as

well and then moved to Colorado.

672

:

So I was also friends with her in

Nebraska, and she's also super close

673

:

to my best friend from Nebraska.

674

:

So it's just all these

great friends from Nebraska.

675

:

Um, if you don't know if.

676

:

You dunno.

677

:

A lot of our backstory, we were focus

missionaries in Lincoln, Nebraska for a

678

:

couple years, so that's how we lived in

Nebraska and know people from Nebraska.

679

:

Um, anyways, and she came to visit

and I hadn't seen her in a while

680

:

and she's also such a treasured

friendship and I love her so much.

681

:

Um, and it was super fun to just be able

to just hang out with her and catch up.

682

:

And.

683

:

I wish she lived in Colorado,

but she'll never leave Nebraska.

684

:

So, and it was her and it

was her birthday, so you

685

:

always gotta celebrate her.

686

:

Yes.

687

:

It was her birthday too.

688

:

So that's another thing, as an adult,

I feel like you just like, don't always

689

:

get to celebrate with your friends

or like maybe even your best friends,

690

:

'cause they might not live near you.

691

:

Yeah.

692

:

So that's, that's really special

too, that we got to do that.

693

:

Yeah,

694

:

and then it was a blur after that.

695

:

It was like Instagram girls

and then Nebraska friends.

696

:

And then I think we had a week in

between and I dunno what we did

697

:

that weekend, probably just prep

for, just try to get everything

698

:

done before we left this coming up.

699

:

Yeah.

700

:

And then we had the chosen and then we had

Washington and now we're freaking here.

701

:

Yeah.

702

:

So it's been a wild

month, but it's been fun.

703

:

It's been so fun.

704

:

Okay.

705

:

Besides like the activities

that we've been doing, they're.

706

:

Let's see a few other, well,

our house just got done being

707

:

like remodeled downstairs.

708

:

So last, okay, so last time we were

in the car, we were in the car.

709

:

We had just started because we had

just started our little home projects.

710

:

Yeah.

711

:

And we were living at my parents'

house because we couldn't live in our

712

:

house for like the first week while

were, um, doing all those projects.

713

:

Yeah.

714

:

So it is.

715

:

Pretty much officially done.

716

:

Yeah.

717

:

Like, oh, it looks gorgeous.

718

:

It, it's amazing.

719

:

New floors are in stone up the fireplace

cabinets, shelving on the walls.

720

:

Yes.

721

:

Like we literally just.

722

:

Want to sit on our couch and

do nothing except sta at and

723

:

just sta at the beautiful work.

724

:

Beautiful work.

725

:

And then, you know, we talked about

it last time, but we like cut a a hole

726

:

into our garage and built out a pantry.

727

:

Basically extended the kitchen into the

garage and built out a walk-in pantry.

728

:

And that basically kickstarted

the kitchen project We didn't

729

:

know we were about to dive into.

730

:

Yeah, unknowingly because the pantry

is large enough for there to be

731

:

cabinets like base and countertops

like base cabinets with countertops

732

:

on top and shelves on top.

733

:

And so then we ran into the issue of like,

oh crap, what color are we gonna choose?

734

:

The cabinets to be in the pantry?

735

:

Yes.

736

:

Okay, let me explain that.

737

:

What is the countertop that

we're gonna put in the pantry?

738

:

Yes.

739

:

And then we're like, well, crap.

740

:

We wanted to match our kitchen

and we don't really like the

741

:

cabinet color of our kitchen.

742

:

Yeah.

743

:

And so whatever we choose for our

pantry, like it's a big decision

744

:

because now we're gonna need to match.

745

:

Like that's gonna start whatever we choose

for the color, for the cabinets and the

746

:

pantry, we're gonna match in the kitchen.

747

:

Exactly.

748

:

So now we're choosing what do we want

our kitchen to look like for the the

749

:

foreseeable future and Yes, exactly.

750

:

And that's a big decision.

751

:

And we weren't really

planning on doing that.

752

:

I mean like after like the living room

project and everything, we were kind of

753

:

like, okay, that's all we're gonna do.

754

:

And.

755

:

The pantry was a last minute project

we weren't really expecting to do.

756

:

It was just kind of

like a vision, a dream.

757

:

And on the last, on the final

walkthrough, before we started the

758

:

whole living room project, I pitched

it to our contractor and I was

759

:

like, Hey, this is my like vision.

760

:

I wanna like cut into the garage, extend

the kitchen a little bit, add this pantry.

761

:

Is that even structurally possible?

762

:

Like, 'cause I'm pretty sure it's a

load bearing wall that we cut into.

763

:

And so he had to like.

764

:

Check with an engineer and all this stuff.

765

:

And literally that day he

was like, yep, it's possible.

766

:

Let's just do it.

767

:

I'm here.

768

:

You have my people, I'm gonna

start cutting a hole on Monday.

769

:

And we were like, what?

770

:

Okay.

771

:

Yeah.

772

:

Like it was gonna save a lot of money to

just add it on to the existing project and

773

:

do it now versus waiting a year or two.

774

:

Like all people, 'cause

like all the people were.

775

:

Coming out and it's just, okay, well the

floor guy's just gonna add a little bit

776

:

more floor and the paint guy is just gonna

paint a little bit more and the, yeah.

777

:

And our shelf guy's gonna just do

a little bit more shelving anyway.

778

:

And our original kitchen layout, sorry,

the network in our original kitchen

779

:

layout had literally no storage.

780

:

Zero.

781

:

Like it literally has four cabinets.

782

:

And I mean, that might sound like a lot.

783

:

It's not, you have pans in one spices

and oils in the other drink wear in one.

784

:

And then we have like cutting boards and.

785

:

Mixing bowls, bakey, bakeware

and bakeware and the other.

786

:

But like where does all

of our literal food go?

787

:

Yeah, like pantry food

and dishes and dishes.

788

:

We don't have anywhere to put our

dishes, so it was a whole thing.

789

:

So that's why we needed this pantry.

790

:

Like we needed pantry space desperately.

791

:

And so we were like, okay, willing to

make a little bit of like a stretch

792

:

here in the budget to get this

pantry going as soon as possible.

793

:

So we have space to put our food

and our dishes and all this stuff.

794

:

And that's where we run into the cabinet.

795

:

Countertop situation we're in

right now, because then we were

796

:

like, okay, we're just gonna do the

pantry and then we'll come back to

797

:

the kitchen like in a year or two.

798

:

And then as we're, you know, doing the

cabinets and picking the countertops,

799

:

that's what Trey was saying, where

he was like, well now we don't want

800

:

it to be different than the kitchen,

so we want it to match the kitchen.

801

:

So it all looks continuous.

802

:

So now we're having to sit down and

basically be like, what do we want our

803

:

kitchen to look like in a year or two?

804

:

Yep.

805

:

And as we're doing this.

806

:

We love home design.

807

:

Okay.

808

:

So we like go the extra mile.

809

:

So we literally went down, like picking

countertops was like my favorite thing

810

:

so far I feel like that we've done, we

literally went down to Denver to like

811

:

the supplier of, it's like this whole

area stone, like manufacturing district

812

:

of Denver, where they had like six

different stone and granite suppliers.

813

:

Yeah.

814

:

That we could Huge warehouses, walk

the floors of these huge warehouses.

815

:

And literally just like, and see there are

like hundreds and hundreds and hundreds

816

:

of slabs, of different types of quartz,

quartzite, uh, marble, granite, dolemite,

817

:

like all the stones you could think of.

818

:

Yeah.

819

:

And so because the, the options we

were seeing at like our local small

820

:

thing, not what I was going for, it's

just your classic standard stuff.

821

:

It's just the fabricator that Yeah.

822

:

They just buy a few extra stock

stuff and I think they like realized

823

:

what kind of clients we were.

824

:

They were just like.

825

:

Okay, I'm gonna send you down

to the supplier so you can pick

826

:

out exactly what stone you want.

827

:

You can look at all the options

under the sun, and we can talk

828

:

about that experience in a second.

829

:

But basically what that made

us realize is whatever stone we

830

:

pick, because it's natural stone,

there's variation in the slabs.

831

:

And so whatever slab we pick for

the pantry, like in two years.

832

:

The slabs they have are not going to a

hundred percent match the pantry slab.

833

:

Like it'll be the same type of stone.

834

:

There's vari, they're gonna

look vastly different.

835

:

There's very like color variations like.

836

:

Veining and, and I really like symmetry

and things to match and Yeah, unity.

837

:

And I was like, Dre, I feel like we're

gonna need to do the countertops in

838

:

the kitchen now because we need to

buy the slabs together so they match.

839

:

Yeah.

840

:

So, so that, so that's where we're

at, y'all like, and you know.

841

:

Total.

842

:

Like these are first world problems.

843

:

Like it's not a problem,

it's just like, it's amazing.

844

:

It's amazing.

845

:

Just like, and we love the process.

846

:

We love the process of interior design.

847

:

It's truly like a dream

and a hobby of ours.

848

:

Um, so it's really fun, but it is

just hilarious the amount of time

849

:

we spent staring at different,

like whites, off whites, creams.

850

:

Oh my gosh, yes.

851

:

For the cabinets.

852

:

So the, yeah, the cabinet

color, we want it to be.

853

:

Creamy off white.

854

:

Yeah, like a creamy, like a,

but with the neutral undertones.

855

:

Yes.

856

:

Not, yes.

857

:

Yellow, not orange.

858

:

Not too white.

859

:

Pink.

860

:

Not, not peach pink.

861

:

Not purple.

862

:

Not peach.

863

:

And you'd think, you'd think it

wouldn't be hard to find that.

864

:

So we went through like all the colors

that Sherwin Williams had, Sherwin

865

:

William had, we went through all the

colors that Benjamin Moore, Benjamin

866

:

Moore, Benjamin Moore had Benjamin I,

we like kind of narrowed it down to one.

867

:

Yeah.

868

:

And then we would.

869

:

See it in a different light and we crap.

870

:

And then we would just go back

to the paint store and get more.

871

:

And so then eventually we ended up

getting like these basically like

872

:

white poster boards that we could Yeah.

873

:

Buy like a sample of the color

and paint it so it's like a

874

:

two foot tall poster board.

875

:

Mm-hmm.

876

:

That we can mm-hmm.

877

:

So just like a bigger slab that could show

us what the color would color be like,

878

:

we'd like, we would just have that taped

to our cabinets for like days at a time.

879

:

Yeah.

880

:

So there was one point where we

were like between two different

881

:

whites, pretty much, pretty much.

882

:

And we were like, okay, well we want,

this one is a little bit too dark,

883

:

this one's a little bit too light.

884

:

So I'm like talking to Chachi

BT asking Chacha Bt to gimme to

885

:

find the perfect middle ground.

886

:

The perfect middle between

this Benjamin Moore color and

887

:

this Sherwin William's color.

888

:

I think we were choosing between.

889

:

Dover White from Sherwin Sherman.

890

:

Sherwin.

891

:

Sherwin Williams.

892

:

Yeah.

893

:

It's not Sherman Williams?

894

:

No, I don't think so.

895

:

But now you have me second guessing,

or was it, or was it Swiss Coffee?

896

:

It was Swiss coffee at, at the very end.

897

:

You're right.

898

:

It was Swiss Swiss coffee at the very end.

899

:

It was Swiss Coffee.

900

:

Swiss coffee from Benjamin Moore.

901

:

Yep.

902

:

And Oggi White.

903

:

And from Sherwin Williams.

904

:

And then Creamy White.

905

:

Oh, and Creamy White, which no natural

white, creamy White Natural cream.

906

:

Natural cream from Benjamin Moore.

907

:

Those were our last three.

908

:

No, that's the one we landed on.

909

:

Right?

910

:

So those last, that's

the one Chate gave us.

911

:

Anyways, we basically, I'm asking Chachi

BT Hey, these are the two colors we, it's

912

:

deciding between, help me find one, give

us middle ground that's in between, that

913

:

doesn't have any yellow, that doesn't

have any pink, that doesn't have any

914

:

mom, that doesn't have any, whatever.

915

:

It has neutral undertones.

916

:

And so that I, we were in the weeds.

917

:

Yeah.

918

:

And it gave us pink colors

and it gave us natural cream.

919

:

That's what it gave us.

920

:

And so we went to the store.

921

:

We got the big sample, we put it up.

922

:

And that was the one that we liked for

the longest amount of time, which at

923

:

that point was the win that we needed.

924

:

We're like, we have liked

this one for a full week.

925

:

Okay, yeah, great.

926

:

That's a win.

927

:

So we submitted it to the cabinet people,

'cause once you submit the color of the

928

:

cabinet people, then it takes like eight

weeks for them to make it and stuff.

929

:

So it's a process.

930

:

It's a process.

931

:

So we rush to do that, but we, we

got that done and then once we picked

932

:

that, we could then pick our stone.

933

:

And Ah, okay.

934

:

So Mari had the stone.

935

:

The stone.

936

:

You guys I love, I did not know

you could love countertops so much.

937

:

Mari had this, I'm obsessed out

of body transcendental experience.

938

:

I did as we were walking through these,

had a warehouses of the manufacturing

939

:

district in Denver for stone.

940

:

So why don't you share the gorgeous

how the stone spoke to you?

941

:

Yeah, I mean, so we went to this

warehouses, there's like a hundred plus

942

:

slabs of stone and I mean we didn't

even walk into the court section 'cause

943

:

the courts is like the manmade and

I just like love natural materials.

944

:

And I was like, no.

945

:

Like if we're going this more custom

route, like I want a natural material,

946

:

I can tell when it looks fake.

947

:

And I just personally,

I'm like, I don't want it.

948

:

So we looked through all

the natural stones and.

949

:

I did not expect you guys to

literally get emotional, okay.

950

:

Walking through these aisles.

951

:

And honestly, I just feel

like nobody will understand.

952

:

Like, I just feel like they,

nobody will understand me.

953

:

I have one friend, they'll

all be like, you're crazy.

954

:

Nobody will understand me.

955

:

I know that and I'm ready for that.

956

:

I have maybe one friend in my life that I

feel like is on my level when it comes to

957

:

like feeling like design in their bones.

958

:

Yeah.

959

:

You know what I mean?

960

:

That I feel like she would maybe get it.

961

:

It's, it's two things for you.

962

:

It's one you just feel things

in general very deeply.

963

:

You experience the world

very in a very deep way.

964

:

I.

965

:

And then I guess you're right.

966

:

Two, it's, well, it's three things.

967

:

Then two, you're a love for design and

then it like goes into your bones, like

968

:

you were saying, and then I feel it.

969

:

And then three color God.

970

:

Oh, well, and God, yes, color.

971

:

I guess you could put color under

design because like Yeah, I love color.

972

:

Yeah.

973

:

So much.

974

:

Which might be hilarious for y'all to hear

because if you know me, you probably know

975

:

me as like the neutral queen, but like.

976

:

I love color and that'll

be a whole nother podcast.

977

:

Yeah, podcast episode.

978

:

But you're right, God, I also love God.

979

:

And then God.

980

:

Like how?

981

:

How God is like the designer

and creator of all thing.

982

:

And creator of all things.

983

:

And he's the ultimate designer.

984

:

He's the ultimate designer.

985

:

He is literally creative

director of the world.

986

:

Of the universe.

987

:

Of the universe, yeah.

988

:

Of everything.

989

:

God, what is bigger than the universe?

990

:

Everything.

991

:

The creator, creative director,

and like he is creator.

992

:

And an artist.

993

:

An artist.

994

:

And if like we are made in his

image and likeness, like we are

995

:

able to share in that creation,

like in his creative nature.

996

:

And I just think that is like

one of the greatest gifts

997

:

that he could have given us.

998

:

It is so wonderful and beautiful

to be able to participate in that.

999

:

And I feel like when I encounter

his creation, it just speaks to

:

00:40:57,859 --> 00:41:01,759

me in such a deep way because

I am such a creative and like.

:

00:41:02,494 --> 00:41:04,444

That's just like a gift

that he's given me.

:

00:41:05,044 --> 00:41:09,244

And I mean, I did not expect this

to happen at the stone place.

:

00:41:09,244 --> 00:41:11,119

And so we're walking down

these aisles of stone.

:

00:41:11,119 --> 00:41:13,534

Yeah, we're walking down the

aisle and I'm just seeing these

:

00:41:14,074 --> 00:41:16,264

gorgeous slabs of stone now.

:

00:41:16,264 --> 00:41:18,094

Like I'm not talking like granite.

:

00:41:18,154 --> 00:41:18,574

Okay.

:

00:41:19,294 --> 00:41:20,254

Granite is ugly.

:

00:41:20,284 --> 00:41:20,824

You guys.

:

00:41:21,244 --> 00:41:23,764

Maybe there's a beautiful granite

out there, but I don't even know

:

00:41:23,764 --> 00:41:25,564

the names of these stones like.

:

00:41:26,104 --> 00:41:28,774

They're intricate, they're gorgeous.

:

00:41:28,774 --> 00:41:33,184

I think one of the first ones I saw was

like these light blues and creams, and

:

00:41:33,184 --> 00:41:37,024

there's these swirls and these like,

like shapes in it, and it literally

:

00:41:37,024 --> 00:41:42,874

looks like a manmade painting of the

sky and of like clouds and like light

:

00:41:43,144 --> 00:41:46,594

going through like the blue sky.

:

00:41:46,654 --> 00:41:50,974

And I'm standing here like,

Trey, like this is not manmade.

:

00:41:51,214 --> 00:41:52,654

This is, this is.

:

00:41:53,584 --> 00:41:55,864

Uh, like God created thing.

:

00:41:55,864 --> 00:41:57,394

This is the inside of a rock.

:

00:41:57,514 --> 00:41:58,984

The inside of a giant mountain.

:

00:41:59,049 --> 00:42:00,004

Cut outta a mountain.

:

00:42:00,424 --> 00:42:01,174

Yeah.

:

00:42:01,174 --> 00:42:03,064

And put it in this warehouse.

:

00:42:03,124 --> 00:42:05,764

And I just like, I'm like,

this is just the mystery and

:

00:42:05,764 --> 00:42:07,444

the beauty of God's creation.

:

00:42:07,444 --> 00:42:10,534

It's like on the outside you see this

mountain, which is probably gorgeous

:

00:42:10,534 --> 00:42:15,214

in itself, but like who knew cutting

into that mountain would bring forth

:

00:42:15,214 --> 00:42:17,704

this like gorgeous piece of art.

:

00:42:17,704 --> 00:42:17,764

Yeah.

:

00:42:18,214 --> 00:42:19,504

That is so unique.

:

00:42:20,104 --> 00:42:24,484

Unrepeatable and literally made

by God himself not made by a man.

:

00:42:24,484 --> 00:42:26,854

Like I think if I saw a painting of

that, I'd be like, oh, that's pretty.

:

00:42:26,854 --> 00:42:30,964

And then I'd move on because I

fully expect that from a person,

:

00:42:31,294 --> 00:42:33,784

which is hilarious that we wouldn't

fully expect that from God.

:

00:42:33,784 --> 00:42:37,654

But I think like the moment I had

was just like an awe and like a

:

00:42:37,654 --> 00:42:40,804

reverence for God's creative nature.

:

00:42:40,804 --> 00:42:40,864

Yeah.

:

00:42:40,909 --> 00:42:45,724

I like what you said there about

like the mountain that this rock

:

00:42:45,724 --> 00:42:47,704

was inside of was beautiful.

:

00:42:48,214 --> 00:42:48,694

The rock.

:

00:42:48,694 --> 00:42:49,984

This mountain was inside of No.

:

00:42:49,984 --> 00:42:51,394

The mountain that this rock was inside of.

:

00:42:51,394 --> 00:42:52,206

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

:

00:42:52,294 --> 00:42:54,964

Like the mountain was probably

this gorgeous mountain

:

00:42:55,084 --> 00:42:56,044

mountain in this landscape.

:

00:42:56,224 --> 00:42:56,554

Yeah.

:

00:42:56,674 --> 00:42:59,884

And like obviously you,

you can see God and beauty.

:

00:42:59,884 --> 00:43:06,184

I think that's a very, uh, recognizable

thing that people see is like, they see,

:

00:43:06,334 --> 00:43:08,254

they can see God and creation and beauty.

:

00:43:09,004 --> 00:43:09,094

Mm-hmm.

:

00:43:09,095 --> 00:43:11,164

But then the fact that God goes

even a step further where it's

:

00:43:11,164 --> 00:43:12,724

like, it's not, I mean, just rock.

:

00:43:12,729 --> 00:43:16,474

It's, it's below like what you

see, like you can't even see it.

:

00:43:16,819 --> 00:43:19,969

You cut into it and it's

literally just this most simple,

:

00:43:19,969 --> 00:43:21,499

mundane, like it's just rock.

:

00:43:21,529 --> 00:43:21,829

Mm-hmm.

:

00:43:22,129 --> 00:43:25,519

But then you cut into it and you

can like find these just beautiful,

:

00:43:25,519 --> 00:43:27,889

stunning tapestries of rock.

:

00:43:27,919 --> 00:43:28,699

Yes.

:

00:43:29,269 --> 00:43:31,399

And, and so many different types.

:

00:43:31,399 --> 00:43:35,629

And I mean, even so many colors,

so many colors, so many intricate

:

00:43:35,629 --> 00:43:38,389

like designs that you don't expect,

that I had never seen on it.

:

00:43:38,654 --> 00:43:43,394

Countertops lab and not necessarily

ones that we would maybe like

:

00:43:43,394 --> 00:43:44,714

put in our house right now.

:

00:43:44,714 --> 00:43:44,804

Mm-hmm.

:

00:43:45,044 --> 00:43:48,194

Maybe it made me, it made me want to like

find a way to use them in the future.

:

00:43:48,194 --> 00:43:48,254

Yeah.

:

00:43:48,884 --> 00:43:49,754

But they're very intricate.

:

00:43:49,844 --> 00:43:55,574

Um, but then even stuff that's

more commonly seen like marble.

:

00:43:56,179 --> 00:43:57,109

Oh my gosh.

:

00:43:57,169 --> 00:43:58,909

I mean like stunning.

:

00:43:58,914 --> 00:43:59,194

Mm-hmm.

:

00:43:59,279 --> 00:44:00,709

Stunning, stunning, stunning.

:

00:44:01,039 --> 00:44:05,269

And even down to like the texture of

the stones, like how the different

:

00:44:05,269 --> 00:44:10,249

types of stones feel and how they're

finished and everything is just like I.

:

00:44:10,594 --> 00:44:11,614

It's a work of art.

:

00:44:11,734 --> 00:44:13,174

It's truly a work of art.

:

00:44:13,179 --> 00:44:13,249

Yeah.

:

00:44:14,374 --> 00:44:17,644

And I just feel like people are probably

thinking I'm literally so nuts right now.

:

00:44:17,644 --> 00:44:17,734

Yes.

:

00:44:17,734 --> 00:44:19,294

Because it's like, it's a kitchen counter.

:

00:44:19,294 --> 00:44:19,684

Mari.

:

00:44:20,134 --> 00:44:23,704

Yes, it's a kitchen counter, but I

spend a lot of time in the kitchen

:

00:44:24,094 --> 00:44:29,434

and design and beauty is like so

inspiring to me and work from home.

:

00:44:29,434 --> 00:44:30,184

Like working from home.

:

00:44:30,184 --> 00:44:33,214

Like we spend so much time at home

that I like, not even just because we

:

00:44:33,214 --> 00:44:38,194

work from home, but like home is such a

beautiful sacred space for us that we.

:

00:44:38,719 --> 00:44:42,349

Like, want to make it the most beautiful.

:

00:44:42,919 --> 00:44:46,849

And so even putting this much

energy and thought into like a

:

00:44:46,849 --> 00:44:51,589

kitchen counter is bringing us

just like joy in life right now.

:

00:44:51,979 --> 00:44:52,879

Um, yeah.

:

00:44:52,879 --> 00:44:54,769

But basically we had a really

hard decision in the end.

:

00:44:54,769 --> 00:45:00,469

We were choosing between a really

gorgeous marble and then, um,

:

00:45:00,739 --> 00:45:03,319

a dolomite called Taj Mahal.

:

00:45:03,934 --> 00:45:04,474

Court site.

:

00:45:05,074 --> 00:45:05,254

Oh, quartzite.

:

00:45:06,004 --> 00:45:06,124

Mm-hmm.

:

00:45:06,234 --> 00:45:06,869

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

:

00:45:06,869 --> 00:45:09,214

A quartzite called Taj Mahal.

:

00:45:09,694 --> 00:45:12,694

And we went back and forth for a little

bit because, um, I mean the marble

:

00:45:12,694 --> 00:45:17,464

was definitely out of our, our our,

it was definitely out of our budget

:

00:45:17,464 --> 00:45:18,934

after we learned what the price was.

:

00:45:19,594 --> 00:45:21,064

So RIP to that.

:

00:45:21,334 --> 00:45:21,454

Mm-hmm.

:

00:45:21,814 --> 00:45:28,924

But then also there's a lot of nuances

and just things you have to be aware

:

00:45:28,924 --> 00:45:32,074

of if you get marble in your kitchen

and just like really high maintenance.

:

00:45:32,074 --> 00:45:32,584

And so.

:

00:45:33,169 --> 00:45:36,109

Sadly, I don't think we're gonna go

with the marble, but the one that we are

:

00:45:36,109 --> 00:45:38,179

probably gonna go with is still gorgeous.

:

00:45:38,209 --> 00:45:39,889

Is still really gorgeous.

:

00:45:39,889 --> 00:45:39,979

Mm-hmm.

:

00:45:40,219 --> 00:45:42,979

And it's a very, very unique Taj Mahal.

:

00:45:43,639 --> 00:45:48,739

Um, so when it's all in and ready, I can't

wait to show you guys, but that's been

:

00:45:48,739 --> 00:45:50,029

a fun thing we've been working on too.

:

00:45:50,089 --> 00:45:50,329

Yeah.

:

00:45:50,419 --> 00:45:53,989

So that's been, I mean, not just

March, but Yeah, February and March.

:

00:45:55,249 --> 00:45:55,549

Yeah.

:

00:45:56,149 --> 00:45:58,789

I mean, that's been life.

:

00:45:59,479 --> 00:46:00,289

It has been life.

:

00:46:00,319 --> 00:46:01,339

How's your life going?

:

00:46:01,789 --> 00:46:02,239

Oh yeah.

:

00:46:02,239 --> 00:46:02,659

Lent.

:

00:46:03,169 --> 00:46:05,839

It's also been, lent,

lent has been happening.

:

00:46:06,259 --> 00:46:07,429

Uh, it's going pretty good.

:

00:46:07,879 --> 00:46:12,949

Um, I gave up alcohol for Lent

and so that has challenges.

:

00:46:13,039 --> 00:46:13,579

Yeah.

:

00:46:13,759 --> 00:46:16,489

Um, especially since we've been

seeing like friends and traveling.

:

00:46:16,549 --> 00:46:16,639

Mm-hmm.

:

00:46:16,879 --> 00:46:17,779

Like I feel like that's harder.

:

00:46:18,289 --> 00:46:18,709

Yeah.

:

00:46:19,129 --> 00:46:21,409

But it's been going good, like.

:

00:46:23,329 --> 00:46:24,109

I've been doing well.

:

00:46:24,169 --> 00:46:24,379

Yeah.

:

00:46:24,379 --> 00:46:27,499

So I, I've enjoyed the soberness of it.

:

00:46:27,709 --> 00:46:27,829

Mm-hmm.

:

00:46:28,189 --> 00:46:38,029

Um, and then ma, you're doing, I'm doing,

um, no screens after 8:00 PM um, and that

:

00:46:38,029 --> 00:46:41,599

just basically like means all no screens,

like, not just like not watching TV or

:

00:46:41,599 --> 00:46:46,039

not scrolling, but basically I'm just like

putting away screens and trying to mm-hmm.

:

00:46:46,399 --> 00:46:47,449

Sanctify my evenings.

:

00:46:47,599 --> 00:46:51,739

Um, and then I am doing

like what I'm adding.

:

00:46:52,474 --> 00:46:55,354

'cause I like to like fast from something

and then add something in that's

:

00:46:55,564 --> 00:46:58,444

prayerful and I'm adding in daily mass.

:

00:46:58,534 --> 00:46:59,764

Monday through Friday.

:

00:47:00,424 --> 00:47:00,784

Every day.

:

00:47:00,784 --> 00:47:00,844

Yeah.

:

00:47:01,624 --> 00:47:01,834

Yeah.

:

00:47:02,914 --> 00:47:03,334

Every day.

:

00:47:03,334 --> 00:47:04,354

Monday through Friday.

:

00:47:04,414 --> 00:47:04,564

Yeah.

:

00:47:04,564 --> 00:47:07,294

And so, and then I'm going Sunday, so

I'm basically going six times a week now.

:

00:47:07,654 --> 00:47:10,354

And that's just a practice that I've

wanted to have for a really long time.

:

00:47:10,414 --> 00:47:12,964

And I was kind of like,

okay, I'm gonna give this.

:

00:47:13,444 --> 00:47:16,594

This little sacrifice to the Lord

of like choosing him over me and

:

00:47:16,594 --> 00:47:19,414

rearranging my schedule so I can

make it to mass in the mornings.

:

00:47:19,414 --> 00:47:19,415

Yep.

:

00:47:20,374 --> 00:47:23,074

And because we do pretty much

everything together, that means

:

00:47:23,074 --> 00:47:25,834

that you've basically, I'm

going to mass almost every day.

:

00:47:25,924 --> 00:47:26,194

Yeah.

:

00:47:26,224 --> 00:47:28,444

Now there's a few times where

you go without me, but Yeah.

:

00:47:28,444 --> 00:47:32,644

So in addition to no alcohol,

I've also been doing mass Yeah.

:

00:47:33,004 --> 00:47:33,904

Most days.

:

00:47:33,904 --> 00:47:36,064

And I've really enjoyed it like it's been.

:

00:47:36,634 --> 00:47:37,114

Amazing.

:

00:47:37,114 --> 00:47:37,924

It's been nice.

:

00:47:37,984 --> 00:47:39,034

It's been really nice.

:

00:47:39,184 --> 00:47:43,024

It definitely is helping me

with my lented fast, I think.

:

00:47:43,054 --> 00:47:43,984

Yeah, totally.

:

00:47:43,989 --> 00:47:48,334

Like receiving sacraments and Yeah,

like the graces of mass is just like

:

00:47:48,964 --> 00:47:50,434

leading into the other areas of my life.

:

00:47:50,794 --> 00:47:55,204

I think it's making me more

reverent of the Eucharist.

:

00:47:55,234 --> 00:47:55,264

Mm.

:

00:47:55,594 --> 00:48:00,154

And it's making me more desirous of mass.

:

00:48:00,964 --> 00:48:01,204

Okay.

:

00:48:02,164 --> 00:48:05,974

Like the more I receive Jesus and the more

I go to mass, the more I'm just like, I.

:

00:48:06,259 --> 00:48:07,699

I can't wait to go to Mass the next day.

:

00:48:08,029 --> 00:48:08,329

Yes.

:

00:48:08,329 --> 00:48:10,489

And I'm just like excited

to be there again.

:

00:48:10,699 --> 00:48:10,789

Mm-hmm.

:

00:48:10,789 --> 00:48:13,969

And more reverent in the sense that

like we have a bad habit of being, I

:

00:48:13,969 --> 00:48:17,089

mean, I have a bad habit of being a few

minutes late everywhere I go, honestly.

:

00:48:17,569 --> 00:48:19,129

But then that leads into mass as well.

:

00:48:19,129 --> 00:48:22,759

And so for Sundays, we're like

honestly walking in with the other

:

00:48:22,759 --> 00:48:26,029

families that have like five kids

a couple minutes late into mass.

:

00:48:26,029 --> 00:48:28,009

And we have literally no

excuse for being late.

:

00:48:28,759 --> 00:48:29,659

And so.

:

00:48:30,694 --> 00:48:35,374

I'll be late to daily mass a couple

minutes and it'll, I've just like become

:

00:48:35,374 --> 00:48:40,444

so much more aware of me being late to

mass and being late anywhere and just

:

00:48:40,444 --> 00:48:43,534

like giving the Lord his due reverence.

:

00:48:44,194 --> 00:48:47,404

And then also the mass fast has

been hard for me because I think

:

00:48:47,404 --> 00:48:48,994

on Sundays it's normally like.

:

00:48:49,339 --> 00:48:54,439

You're used to that, but I think on

a daily basis, I am not usually like

:

00:48:54,439 --> 00:48:58,129

trying to eat breakfast by a certain

time so that I can get to mass by a

:

00:48:58,129 --> 00:49:00,289

certain time so then I can receive Jesus.

:

00:49:00,349 --> 00:49:04,129

And there's the whole like element

of daily mass is a lot quicker.

:

00:49:04,129 --> 00:49:06,169

And so you need to start

your fast a lot sooner.

:

00:49:06,229 --> 00:49:06,979

A lot sooner.

:

00:49:06,979 --> 00:49:12,169

And I think that there's been a couple

times where, there's been several times

:

00:49:12,169 --> 00:49:17,719

where I'm eating breakfast and it's,

it ends up being 50 minutes before.

:

00:49:18,844 --> 00:49:19,564

The Eucharist.

:

00:49:19,594 --> 00:49:19,654

Yeah.

:

00:49:20,224 --> 00:49:20,944

En mass.

:

00:49:20,944 --> 00:49:23,194

And there's been times where I'm

like, you know, I'm mulling it over.

:

00:49:23,194 --> 00:49:27,004

I'm like, uh, 50 minutes

or like 53 minutes.

:

00:49:27,009 --> 00:49:27,069

Yeah.

:

00:49:27,304 --> 00:49:30,424

Like, you know, does it matter

if it's not a full hour?

:

00:49:30,424 --> 00:49:33,064

Like, like it's all about

intention of heart, right?

:

00:49:33,064 --> 00:49:36,754

Like I really like tried, but I

was just off by a few minutes and,

:

00:49:37,444 --> 00:49:39,844

um, I went to confession about it.

:

00:49:40,324 --> 00:49:44,044

Because it was weighing on me and

I felt bad and I received Jesus

:

00:49:44,044 --> 00:49:45,934

like 55 minutes after I ate.

:

00:49:45,934 --> 00:49:48,214

And I was trying to talk

myself out of feeling bad of it

:

00:49:48,274 --> 00:49:49,474

about it, but I was like, no.

:

00:49:49,474 --> 00:49:55,384

Like there is intention behind just

like the things that the church

:

00:49:55,384 --> 00:49:58,114

asks us to do, and it's just small.

:

00:49:58,129 --> 00:49:59,164

It's a sacrifices.

:

00:49:59,224 --> 00:50:00,874

Yeah, it's like a small sacrifice.

:

00:50:00,874 --> 00:50:03,514

And I remember when I first

learned about the mass fast.

:

00:50:04,099 --> 00:50:06,769

I was kind of like, okay, well what's,

I still don't, what's the reason?

:

00:50:06,949 --> 00:50:09,409

Like I kind of know, okay,

let me say what I think it is.

:

00:50:09,409 --> 00:50:09,499

Okay.

:

00:50:09,499 --> 00:50:10,969

And you can tell me if I'm right or wrong.

:

00:50:11,899 --> 00:50:18,289

It's because it's a way for our body

to naturally like hunger for Jesus.

:

00:50:18,469 --> 00:50:18,829

Yeah.

:

00:50:19,459 --> 00:50:20,689

Is there an added layer to that?

:

00:50:20,689 --> 00:50:21,709

'cause that's all I know.

:

00:50:21,829 --> 00:50:24,019

I, that was the biggest

thing that stuck out to me.

:

00:50:24,019 --> 00:50:24,109

Mm-hmm.

:

00:50:24,559 --> 00:50:28,729

I think one like fasting just strengthens

our soul and is again, kind of a sign of

:

00:50:28,954 --> 00:50:31,729

reverence and it's just a good practice.

:

00:50:31,939 --> 00:50:32,449

Yeah.

:

00:50:32,479 --> 00:50:33,199

Spiritual practice.

:

00:50:33,349 --> 00:50:40,609

Um, but then also, yes, this concept

of hungering for Jesus, kind of

:

00:50:40,609 --> 00:50:43,189

emulating the way he thirsts for us.

:

00:50:43,189 --> 00:50:49,939

Um, and just basically like as a sign

of like, you are all we need, Lord.

:

00:50:50,059 --> 00:50:52,939

You know, like, I just

need your Eucharist.

:

00:50:53,374 --> 00:50:57,724

I can do with being hungry

for an hour and let's be real.

:

00:50:57,724 --> 00:51:01,564

Most times, like we're so fortunate, we

probably ate the hour before, so most

:

00:51:01,564 --> 00:51:03,274

times we're not even starving by mass.

:

00:51:03,424 --> 00:51:03,694

I like that.

:

00:51:04,504 --> 00:51:08,104

Perspective where it's not just

thinking, oh, like I'm hungry,

:

00:51:08,104 --> 00:51:11,309

or this is inconvenient, so

I'm fasting this for you, God.

:

00:51:11,309 --> 00:51:11,709

Mm-hmm.

:

00:51:12,369 --> 00:51:16,564

And you know, maybe you take it

the next step where, oh, this, my

:

00:51:16,564 --> 00:51:18,814

hunger for food right now mm-hmm.

:

00:51:19,084 --> 00:51:21,844

Is like, I should have

that hunger towards God.

:

00:51:21,849 --> 00:51:21,949

Mm-hmm.

:

00:51:22,249 --> 00:51:25,684

But I like what you just said of

taking it to that even further level

:

00:51:25,684 --> 00:51:31,864

where it's, oh, this is like how God

is hungry and for us, and it's like.

:

00:51:32,614 --> 00:51:35,524

It's like a peak into

how God is hungry for us.

:

00:51:35,524 --> 00:51:35,584

Yeah.

:

00:51:35,614 --> 00:51:36,269

Right, right.

:

00:51:36,574 --> 00:51:40,894

Like it's like a little small, a little

sliver that we get to experience of

:

00:51:40,894 --> 00:51:44,074

his love for us and his thirst for us.

:

00:51:44,524 --> 00:51:48,154

And so that's kind of what I've been

reflecting on as we've been going to

:

00:51:48,154 --> 00:51:52,384

daily mass and I've been trying to like

keep an eye on the time and be like,

:

00:51:52,384 --> 00:51:53,794

oh my gosh, I gotta get up earlier.

:

00:51:53,794 --> 00:51:56,704

So I got, I can eat breakfast

earlier so I can do my mass fast.

:

00:51:56,764 --> 00:51:59,854

And then basically talking it out

with a friend too, and like coming

:

00:51:59,854 --> 00:52:01,324

to the conclusion of just like.

:

00:52:01,909 --> 00:52:05,749

I almost asked the priest in confession, I

almost asked him like, Hey look, I'm gonna

:

00:52:05,749 --> 00:52:09,709

bring this up, but like, does it really

matter if it was like seven minutes off?

:

00:52:09,769 --> 00:52:13,729

You know, like, could Jesus understand,

you know, because like he knows my

:

00:52:13,729 --> 00:52:18,379

heart, but then I didn't because

I thought of like just the other

:

00:52:18,379 --> 00:52:22,849

things that the Lord asks of us to

keep the Sabbath day holy right.

:

00:52:22,849 --> 00:52:27,559

To keep to, to go to mass on Sundays

is an obligation as Catholics.

:

00:52:27,559 --> 00:52:27,829

Mm-hmm.

:

00:52:28,324 --> 00:52:32,884

The church doesn't say, yeah, that's

an obligation, but if you miss

:

00:52:32,884 --> 00:52:34,684

a Sunday, don't worry about it.

:

00:52:34,684 --> 00:52:37,234

Like as long as your heart's in

the right place, as long as you

:

00:52:37,234 --> 00:52:39,904

wanted to go, don't worry about it.

:

00:52:39,904 --> 00:52:43,384

Now there is a difference if you tried

your best to go and you couldn't make it.

:

00:52:43,384 --> 00:52:48,184

For example, you're in Guam and you

tried to find a Catholic church.

:

00:52:48,244 --> 00:52:48,334

Cool.

:

00:52:49,054 --> 00:52:50,374

No, I mean that's like a legit thing.

:

00:52:50,374 --> 00:52:53,194

I'm like, if you're in a place and you

try and find a Catholic church and there

:

00:52:53,194 --> 00:52:54,994

aren't a, there isn't a Catholic church.

:

00:52:55,639 --> 00:52:56,749

Then you tried your best.

:

00:52:56,749 --> 00:52:57,769

That's not a sin.

:

00:52:58,129 --> 00:53:03,229

However, if you're in Mexico, I bet

you, I know there's a million Catholic

:

00:53:03,229 --> 00:53:07,429

churches, if you're in Europe, if

you're in Jamaica, if you're in

:

00:53:07,459 --> 00:53:11,449

wherever, like I think people use

traveling a lot as an excuse not to go.

:

00:53:11,449 --> 00:53:14,299

But it's like there are even Catholic

churches all around the world.

:

00:53:14,299 --> 00:53:18,289

So like the excuses to not go to mass

on a Sunday would really be if you're in

:

00:53:18,289 --> 00:53:21,229

the middle of nowhere where there's no

Catholic churches or you're ill, right?

:

00:53:21,229 --> 00:53:24,109

Like you're sick and you like it's

bad for you to leave the house.

:

00:53:24,499 --> 00:53:24,949

So.

:

00:53:26,149 --> 00:53:28,759

The church doesn't say like, oh

yeah, if you miss a couple masses

:

00:53:28,759 --> 00:53:32,509

here and there for whatever

reasons, like, then you're good.

:

00:53:33,139 --> 00:53:34,274

No, no.

:

00:53:34,729 --> 00:53:37,159

You know, or like when it talks

about, I don't know, like sex before

:

00:53:37,159 --> 00:53:40,369

marriage, like, oh, you're, you're

fine if you have sex before marriage

:

00:53:40,369 --> 00:53:45,319

once, you know, but like if you, if it

was just one time, it doesn't count.

:

00:53:45,799 --> 00:53:46,159

Yeah.

:

00:53:46,219 --> 00:53:48,049

Like, it's just not like that.

:

00:53:48,199 --> 00:53:48,409

Right.

:

00:53:48,409 --> 00:53:49,639

And so if the Lord.

:

00:53:50,194 --> 00:53:55,024

Asks and if the, the church asks of us

to fast for an hour for 60 minutes before

:

00:53:55,024 --> 00:53:57,934

we receive him, then it's 60 minutes.

:

00:53:57,964 --> 00:53:58,054

Yep.

:

00:53:59,224 --> 00:54:03,184

And I'm open to being changed

to, to my mind being changed.

:

00:54:03,184 --> 00:54:06,514

But I feel like that's really where

my heart settled and where I was

:

00:54:06,514 --> 00:54:08,494

like, that's the sacrifice I can make.

:

00:54:08,494 --> 00:54:12,424

And that's the Lord is more important

than like, and it's such a small

:

00:54:13,024 --> 00:54:14,194

sacrifice, me eating seven minutes later.

:

00:54:14,674 --> 00:54:14,764

Yeah.

:

00:54:14,764 --> 00:54:15,814

It's such a small sacrifice.

:

00:54:15,814 --> 00:54:16,924

It's a small sacrifice.

:

00:54:17,524 --> 00:54:17,854

So, so.

:

00:54:18,724 --> 00:54:19,204

That's that.

:

00:54:19,564 --> 00:54:20,134

That's that.

:

00:54:21,094 --> 00:54:22,954

Well, that's it.

:

00:54:22,954 --> 00:54:24,874

That's kind of in our life recently.

:

00:54:24,874 --> 00:54:25,864

Some of our updates.

:

00:54:25,864 --> 00:54:26,254

Yeah.

:

00:54:26,824 --> 00:54:27,424

This was fun.

:

00:54:27,484 --> 00:54:30,424

I hope you enjoyed the

casual life updates.

:

00:54:30,754 --> 00:54:31,564

Yes, definitely.

:

00:54:31,564 --> 00:54:32,734

Let us know if you enjoyed this.

:

00:54:32,734 --> 00:54:35,164

We haven't really done

this kind of podcast.

:

00:54:35,164 --> 00:54:39,244

We usually kind of do more

like topic focused and like.

:

00:54:39,664 --> 00:54:40,984

Kinda a teaching moment.

:

00:54:41,164 --> 00:54:45,604

You know, educational, educational, like

really pouring value, which I love to do.

:

00:54:45,604 --> 00:54:47,944

And those are honestly a lot of

the podcasts that I listen to.

:

00:54:47,944 --> 00:54:49,354

So that's kinda what I gravitate towards.

:

00:54:50,074 --> 00:54:52,564

But this has been really fun

for me to record with you.

:

00:54:52,594 --> 00:54:53,554

Yeah, I've enjoyed this.

:

00:54:53,644 --> 00:54:57,364

So if you like this style of

podcast and wanna see this more

:

00:54:57,364 --> 00:54:59,854

from Trey and I, let us know.

:

00:55:00,124 --> 00:55:03,964

DM us on at Ever Be podcast

00:55:04,444 --> 00:55:05,434

Either one will see it.

:

And yeah, let me know if you want

more, 'cause we'd be happy to do more.

:

00:55:09,964 --> 00:55:10,294

All right.

:

00:55:10,444 --> 00:55:10,984

See you next week.

:

00:55:11,674 --> 00:55:11,824
